Video History Today is a UK based subscription based website offering video and photographs which can be downloaded over the internet (non-UK based subscribers, please CLICK HERE).

Some content on Video History Today is free, but to access all the footage in the library a subscription needs to be purchased.

Special 'Free access for a limited time' offers will appear from time to time.  These offers will allow access to all the articles and files for a certain number of days.

Subscriptions will be taken in Great Britain Pound Sterling only, (GBP or £).

       On line application

In order to apply online, click on any of the Subscribe buttons around the site.  This will take you into a 2 stage application procedure.

You will initially be linked to Video History Today's server to provide personal details such as your email address and password (needed by members to Log-in to the library), your name, your organisation name and organisation address.  If any essential details are omitted a warning note will appear.

Once these details are collected you will be re-directed to our secure payment transaction server.  Video History Today accepts all major  cards, (VISA, Delta, Mastercard, Maestro / Switch / Solo, Electron, JCB and American Express).

Please note that both procedures are on secure links, as can be seen by the 'https://' details in your browser.

Once the payment details have been accepted you will be sent a Welcome email confirming your purchase.

       Pay by cheque application  (UK based members only)

Video History Today would prefer members to use the on-line procedure because it is safe, efficient and above all gives instant access to the library.

If you are UK-based (non-UK members cannot use this method) and would like to make a postal application please note the following:

• Payments can only be accepted in GB Pound Sterling and therefore the pay-by-cheque procedure is only open to UK based organisations, (foreign currency cheques will not be accepted - non-UK based organisations must use the on-line procedure as this can process non-GB Pound Sterling currencies).
• Postal applications will be delayed by both postage and bank clearing times.  Please allow 10 working days for your Welcome email which will allow you access to the library.
•  Sterling cheques must be made payable to 'Video History Today'

Applications by post MUST include the following information for the account to be set up and activated:

1. Valid email address (which will be used when logging into the library);
2. Full name and postal address of the organisation applying for membership, (i.e. Education High School, School Road, Schooltown, Leics, England, AB12 3CD or Education Elementary School, Education Avenue, Schoolville, MN, United States 12345);
3. Title & name of person making application (i.e. Mrs Jane Smith, Mr John Brown)
4. Country of application.

Unlike the on-line application process where the user picks a password, a postal applicant will be sent a password which must be changed immediately.

The membership process above is the same for an individual who wishes to apply or an institution which requires just one point of access.  This is controlled by the email application procedure and monitored to ensure a single login is not used by multiple users in different locations.

If you are a larger institution or organisation such as an Education Authority or University with multiple users, a more suitable membership subscription is required.  If this is your situation please email in the first instance, admin@videohistorytoday.com as a specific membership plan will be required to suit your needs.
